SMT Operator - 3rd shift

Openings on 2nd shift
Surface mount technology (SMT) operators monitor and maintain any equipment used in establishing SMT electronic circuits. The task of SMT operators involves SMT machine operation to mount electronic components onto the circuit boards. They mount assembled components like resistors capacitors transistors and integrated circuits on the chassis panel. Also they collaborate with technicians and engineers on PCBs for critical defect data.

Job Summary and Essential Functions:

Load and assist with setup and staging of product on the SMT lines.

• Perform setup and tear down on all feeders for all pick and place machines
• Assist the operator in setting up and running all pick and place machines
• Perform manual placement of SMT and PIH components
• Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
• Perform other assignments as required
• Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand load plans
• Ability to read and understand production drawings
• Basic component identification skills
• Ability to build electronic assemblies
• Abilities listed in General Requirements Team Members

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:

• Required to wear PPE as needed
• Moderate noise levels
• Exposure to light manufacturing environment
