Job Summary

Oversight and direct supervision of the performance, safety, and aircraft fueling personnel to reach optimal service results. Responsible for the safe operation of a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Drivers are required to oversee the loading of the fuel into tanker. During loading, transport, and unloading, the driver will follow all safety procedures. The driver will document each delivery and use meters to calculate and record the amount of fuel delivered to each destination.

Job Duties

  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW, to transport fuel. Operate other equipment you are trained and certified to operate as directed by consultant.
  • Oversee scheduling of tank farm maintenance accomplished by Fueling Quality staff.
  • Schedule maintenance of fuel trucks, and ensure documentation is current.
  • Schedule “on airport fuel” fuel deliveries, complete and process ground tickets immediately upon completion of fueling.
  • Record and report the starting and final fueling data and dispensing data per aircraft using electronic equipment or logs. Complete and submit all documentation associated with fueling activities.
  • Conduct required safety checks on the service equipment as needed. Safely and responsibly handle all fueling hoses and equipment along with other fueling tools.
  • Track inventory of 100LL and Jet-A to coordinate dispatch of drivers for bulk fuel and wing fuel out of Fairbanks and Anchorage.
  • Be available for after-hours contact by cell phone as needed.
  • Utilize the entire Microsoft Office Suite as required to access and respond to internal and external company communication multiple times each day.
  • Coach and train refuelers on performance and safety standards. Assist with recruiting and hiring of new employees as required.
  • Work with EAF Consultant regarding employee discipline, coaching and conduct performance reviews of Refuelers. Maintain ongoing performance feedback in UKG.
  • Responsible for coordination with Human Resources/Payroll for correct and timely completion of required UKG input and organizational paperwork.
  • Accomplish timely timeclock management to include schedules, time approval, and time corrections.
  • Implement company policy/directives within your work group.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication and cooperation with all Everts Air Fuel management and department personnel as well as appropriate interfaces with external contacts.
  • Coordinate with inspector of station to ensure up to date with compliance.
  • On occasion, will be required to transport items to and/or from one location to another.
  • Operate all vehicles, equipment, machinery, hand tools and power tools safely and within established guidelines. Only operate equipment, machinery, hand, and power tools that you have been trained and formally signed off on.
  • Use safety equipment and personal protective equipment properly and within established guidelines.

Required/Preferred Experience, Education & Skills

  • Commercial drivers' license with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
  • Requires the ability to coordinate with and work for a variety of personnel and must be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with frequent change.
  • Requires the ability to understand, retain, and deliver information verbally and written.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, and mathematic applications as they pertain to fuel pricing.
  • Knowledge of fueling operations and delivery procedures.
  • Requires the ability to coordinate with and work for a variety of Management personnel and must be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with frequent change.
  • Requires the ability to be sedentary for extended periods of time and the ability to operate a computer keyboard and screen for extended periods of time as required by location.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, such as talking on the phone, data entry, and data retrieval.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of financial functions.
  • Knowledge of technology used for training purposes or possess an interest in learning the technological methods used in training.
