As a Software Engineer within our (NGA) Next-Generation Avionics group you will work with a talented team of engineers responsible for designing and developing advanced software solutions for cutting-edge avionics technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design develop code and test and software solutions for avionics display systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs design software architectures and implement software modules.
  • Design develop and test software applications ensuring high performance reliability and user-friendliness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure system performance and reliability
  • Software architecture and coding
  • Integration
  • Feature Definition
  • Verification and Validation
  • Analytical skills and software development skills

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences technology engineering or mathematics
  • 2+ years experience in software development of embedded products avionics or related

WE VALUE

  • Understanding various software development life cycles methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ Ada Python and/or Open GL as well as real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software development tools
  • Experience in any of the following is a PLUS:
    • Avionics products i.e. Avionics Displays and Graphics Flight Mgmt Autopilot Flight Planning Flight Controls Flight Displays (PFD) Traffic Collision Avoidance (TCAS) Crew Alert Messaging (CAS) Terrain Radios etc
    • Understanding of User Application development.
    • Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
    • Experience operating in an Agile framework
