Position Summary

We are immediately seeking a full-time Subject Matter Expert to join our motivated Advanced Capabilities and Expert Solutions (ACES) Division to primarily support our F/A-18E/F Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) Courseware Development Team in Oceana, VA.

The ACES Division supports Tactical Air's mission by delivering world class military aviation training, products, and support. As part of ACES, the FRS Courseware Development Team incorporates aircraft software and hardware developments into the EF & G syllabi as they are released to the fleet. Members of the FRS courseware team also contribute to the collective understanding and application of the various updates to other ACES team members through extensive research and simulator time.

Being in an environment of significant growth, this position will also facilitate new opportunities within ACES, collaborating with Tactical Air Support's Business Development and Capture Team.

Responsibilities

  • Research, process, and distill complex technical material for meaningful and engaging presentation to Naval Aviators
  • Review and research development documents to produce aircrew publications
  • Facilitate growth within ACES and Tactical Air Support
  • Cross-train and assist other priority efforts within ACES

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; advanced degree preferred. Combination of background, education, and training may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of eight years as F/A-18 TMS aircrew (Pilot or WSO). SFTI qualification preferred
  • Familiarity or experience with the U.S. Armed Forces and Department of Defense (DoD) federal contractors and the aerospace, defense, or commercial aviation industry
  • Up to 20% travel required to various work sites throughout the U.S.
  • SAP program eligibility
  • Valid state driver license
  • U.S. citizenship with a current and active Secret clearance, with TS/SCI eligibility

Desired Experience/Skills

  • Enthusiasm and commitment to a working environment requiring collaboration, robust communication, and coordination with their team lead, the fleet replacement squadron(s), and tactical centers of excellence
  • Experience with various operational squadrons, training squadrons, test squadrons, program offices, and tactical centers of excellence
  • Familiarity and expertise with F/A18 TMS mission planning and training systems
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects

Work Authorization

  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form
  • Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) required
