This role is a part of the Test and Flight Operations team providing centralized support to business units with a focus on the design build and maintenance of the ground systems test and launch facilities across multiple locations.As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers you will contribute to the development and upgrade of rocket engine test stands and lunar avionics system testers. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment contributing to innovative solutions while demonstrating personal leadership technical competence and attention to detail.You will be a Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer within the Systems Architecture Integration (SAI) Systems Engineering (SE) team responsible for being the technical leader of your projects performing SE tasks and delivering SE-related products. You will work closely with rocket engine test stand and lunar avionics designers operators and project managers to ensure successful on-time delivery of rocket engine test stand and lunar avionic tester products.You will also contribute to a team of other vehicle systems engineers and engine design engineers to simultaneously develop groundbreaking pathfinding products. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop and manage specifications and requirements (at system and subsystem levels)Develop and manage rocket engine facility and lunar avionics interfaces including Interface Control Documents (ICDs)Decompose requirements from system and subsystem-levels into lower-level requirementsDirectly own the verification and validation of requirements in collaboration with the test engineers while actively being hands-onPerform traceability analysis of requirements to higher levels and to verification activitiesSupport trade studies across a diverse and wide-range of technical projectsUtilize Systems Engineering tools such as Jama Windchill and CameoLead and present at major gated reviews including design reviews readiness reviews etc.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace mechanical or computer engineering7+ years of relevant Aerospace Mechanical Electrical or Systems Engineering experience on complex systemsFamiliar with aerospace avionics and/or fluid transfer/mechanical systemsSolid understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals in a few areas such as Concept of Operations Requirements Management Verification and/or IntegrationFamiliar with aerospace hardware verification and validation processAbility to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships and contribute to a culture of inclusionAbility to adapt perform and provide process recommendations in an agile engineering environmentAbility to mentor less experienced systems engineers within the teamMust be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumPreferred Qualifications:M.S. degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering10+ years of relevant Aerospace Mechanical Electrical or Systems Engineering experience on complex systemsStrong understanding of aerospace avionics and fluid transfer/mechanical systemsFamiliar with INCOSE practices and processesFamiliar with requirements management software such as JamaCompensation range for on site WA applicants is $146645-$205302Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $134838-$188773Other site ranges may differInclusivity StatementDon t meet all desired requirements?
