Overview:

Starting Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour.

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is looking for an Intern-NDT Technician (NonDestructive Testing) to join our Lincoln NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln NE.

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise General Dynamics designs develops manufactures and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures including rocket motors pressure vessels launch tubes and fuel tanks.

• Support the NonDestructive Testing department.
• Under the supervision of the NDT Level 3 or Level 2 duties would include:
  • Perform Computed Radiography Inspections
  • Perform Ultrasonic Inspections (A-Scan and C-Scan)
  • Perform Penetrant Inspections
  • Interfacing as required with Engineering Manufacturing and Production personnel.
  • Helping to solve manufacturing problems from NDT results.
  • Other related duties as required.

• Working towards completion of an Associate Degree in NonDestructive Testing.
• Completed Radiation Safety training through an approved curriculum that meets the requirements of the Department of Health and Human Services for the State of Nebraska.
• Good work ethic self-motivated good people/communication skills excellent attitude and Team mentality.
• Position may be on 1^st 2^nd or 3^rd Shift.
• This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln NE.
