Corporate Pilot - PRN Job Details Job Location Westwood - Westwood KS Description The Corporate Pilot PRN is responsible for flying the company aircraft and serving as pilot in command or second in command (consistent with FAA regulations) as needed as well as administrativeand maintenance tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Assist Corporate Pilots with company flight operations and maintenance.

- Operate assigned aircraft in accordance with safety requirements aircraft flight manual and company and departmental policies.

- Administrative duties including necessary paperwork reports and analysis of department functions.

- Transport staff members and retrieval teams to and from donor recovery location.

- Deliver tissue typing materials to HLA Laboratories.

- Deliver organs to transplant centers.

- Transport staff members on administrative flights approved by Chief Executive Officer.

- Maintain current pilot certificate and qualifications.

- Develop and maintain effective communications and professional relationships within the company and with support organizations.

- Participate actively in the company Quality Management Plan and department Safety Management System to identify risk areas and recommend strategies to minimize risk and achieve targeted outcomes.

- Actively participate in and contribute to the realization of the organizational goals.

- Actively participate in and support MTNs Safety Culture which ensures strict adherence to all policies and regulations.

- Perform other duties as defined by the Chief Financial Officer.

- The MTN pilot has the support of senior leadership when making difficult/safe decisions relating to all flights.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Certificate and Qualification Requirements:

- To serve as Pilot in Command: FAA issued Airline Transport Pilot Certificate multi-engine land and appropriate flight experience in the make and type of aircraft operated by the Midwest Transplant Network including 12-month recurrent motion simulator training as required by FAR.

- To serve as Second in Command; FAA Issued Commercial Pilot Certificate multi-engine land with Instrument rating or Airline Transport Certificate multi-engine land. FAA medical of appropriate class as required by FAR must be acquired and maintained.

- Flight Experience Requirements:

- To serve as Pilot in Command: Minimum 5000 total flight hours of which 1000 are in turbine aircraft 2500 in multi-engine aircraft and a type rating for a CESSNA 525/525A required or similar aircraft.

- To serve as Second in Command: Minimum 1500 total flight hours of which 250 pilot in command 100 are in turbine aircraft 100 in multi-engine aircraft and 100 instrument hours. Participation in the MTN Training Program and satisfactory completion of the training program is expected within the first 90 days after hire.

- Undergraduate degree in aviation management or similar business/management concentration preferred.

- Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational problem analysis and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to motivate peers and achieve cooperation.

- Maintain an on-call schedule of a minimum of 5 days per month. Availability for call must be given to Corporate Pilot responsible for scheduling at least five days before the beginning of the next call schedule. Required to work for extended periods of time with few breaks.

- Must maintain a valid drivers license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy. Must have reliable personal automobile transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines.

- Ability to lift 50 pounds and transfer short distances.

- Possess manual dexterity sufficient to operate telephones computers and all required airplane equipment.

- Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information whether in person over the phone or aircraft radio.

- English proficiency required.

- Vision correctable to meet pilot qualifications.

- OSHA Category III No exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties.

- Home internet access may be required.
