Description, duties, responsibilities

Company Overview:

As an Aircraft Cabinet Technician you will be involved in the modification repair refurbishment and fabrication of aircraft cabinets. This full-time non-exempt position is essential in supporting the interior installations and maintenance operations ensuring all activities are performed according to project specifications and company standards.

• Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft cabinets and related systems including removal installation modification re-laminating veneering and fabrication.
• Conduct minor modifications and adhere to daily turnover sheets.
• Maintain shop facility equipment and tooling as required.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the shop and surrounding areas.
• Operate independently for certain projects as designated by supervisory staff.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in aircraft interiors preferred.

Initiative:

• Self-motivated with the ability to maintain a rapid pace.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.

• Must comply with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines and company safety rules.
• Assist in major modifications and interact with team leaders sales representatives customers and vendors.
• Requires physical ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

• Work under the supervision of assigned Team Leader and Interior Management.
• May occasionally supervise other technicians.

• Work primarily in a heated hangar or shop area.
• May involve varied positions around and in the aircraft including work on the ramp.

• Personal and supplied power tools including sanders saws and drills.
• Standard office equipment for administrative tasks.
